The Red Rock Resort and Casino provides a classy, high-end resort experience for visitors to Las Vegas. Located at the gateway to the Red Rock Canyon, the resort offers guests the convenience to travel west for an outdoor adventure, east for excitement on the Strip, or to stay put at the resort for just the right mix of relaxation and fun.
When it came time to create a new high limit slots room, only the best-in-class designs and equipment would be considered, keeping in line with the upscale experience of the luxury resort. In this case, the EuroBar was chosen as the centerpiece of the new establishment. The upscale appearance combined with functionality made it an easy choice.
The EuroBar is an innovative bar experience designed by renowned cocktail expert Livio Lauro. The aptly named bar draws on European traditions to create the bar layout that puts a workstation front and center and everything else within easy reach. In the EuroBar’s design, beauty, efficiency and function all take top priority.
A Perfect Fit for Red Rock Resort
The bar plays a prominent role in the new high limit slots room and is a central element in the overall design, serving as a gathering place for guests as well as a place to create beautiful cocktails. Therefore, the operators made it a priority to find a bar that was not only functional and efficient for the casino’s bartenders, but also strikingly beautiful for guests.
The EuroBar fits both of those goals. Stunning stainless steel construction with elegant lines not only makes the EuroBar a sight to behold, it also fits right in with the upscale design of the entire high-limit slots room. Everything about the resort is designed to be appealing to the eye, from the architecture to the furnishings, and the EuroBar fits in seamlessly.
Functionality was just as important as aesthetics. Joey VonBargen, vice president food and beverage, Station Casinos, was looking to provide the organization’s bartenders with an elevated work experience. “Every detail of the EuroBar is designed for efficiency and flexibility,” VonBargen says. “I appreciate the ability for us to design a bar the fits our establishment, with the ability to store bottles and glassware right next to you so that when you’re building cocktails, everything is right at your fingertips.”
A few things that set the EuroBar apart were especially appealing for VonBargen:
- All of the modules are encapsulated, creating an enclosed base with a door, and drawers if desired, providing more storage room. This helps the staff at Red Rock maintain the pristine look of the bar, being able to put everything away, out of sight of the guest.
- The height of the bar is lower than traditional bars, allowing bartenders to make drinks at an ergonomically beneficial position, rather than raising their arms to make drinks and putting stress on their back.
- The EuroBar’s two different work surfaces at two different heights allows bartenders to make more drinks at the same time than if only relying on the scupper rail, which keeps from having to divide big orders into multiple mixing sessions, saving valuable time.
- A modular design allowed the operation to customize the EuroBar specifically for Red Rock Resort’s operation.
