Mezcal, sotol, and of course, tequila – bottles of these Mexican liquors fill the speed rail of the newly installed EuroBar at Todo Bien, a tiki tequileria that provides a place to escape the real world for a while and enjoy a glimpse of paraiso.
Todo Bien is one of the newest installments at UnCommon, a mixed-use community in the Spring Valley area of Las Vegas. The offices, apartments, restaurants and bars all imbue a unique vibe that contributes to the community’s bright, creative, inclusive atmosphere.
Todo Bien embodies the best of what makes UnCommon such a great place to live, work and visit. The operators brought their own experience in the foodservice industry to bear on the design and creation of the new bar. “We wanted to create an immersive tropical paradise,” says Curtis Knickerbocker, co-founder of Todo Bien. “Our goal was to foster a sense of connection in this space, where guets can escape from their everyday lives and have memorable moments with friends and family.”
A Bar that Makes a Statement
Knickerbocker came into the Todo Bien project with a clear vision of what he wanted for the establishment – a bar that makes a statement as soon as patrons walk through the doors. The EuroBar was the perfect choice, as it complemented the vision for the bar. “Once we saw the EuroBar, we knew we wanted to integrate it into our brand and the overall ambiance of Todo Bien,” Knickerbocker says.
The stainless steel finish on the EuroBar provides the perfect look for the tequileria. The bright, modern sophistication of the bar stands out as a design element in the room, while also harmonizing well with the surrounding ambiance and overall aesthetic. It makes an immediate impression on people as they walk through the doors. “Our customers are impressed by the sleek, elegant design of the bar area,” Knickerbocker says.
EuroBar’s Functionality Proves Critical
Just as important as the look of the bar is the equipment’s ability to allow mixologists to perform their duties efficiently and with ease. The EuroBar provides the functionality Knickerbocker was looking for in the bar for Todo Bien.
- Modular design capabilities. The ability to customize the bar’s design meant Knickerbocker and his team could create a bar specifically to fit Todo Bien’s needs. They opted for an L-shaped bar design to heighten customer interaction while providing ample space for mixologists to work.
- Workstations. The EuroBar workstation, which sits below the bar top at an ergonomically designed height to make work comfortable, was a key selling point as it provided the space needed for Todo Bien’s mixologists to craft sophisticated cocktails. The L-shaped bar includes two workstations, which provides additional prep area as well as space to layout more glassware, shakers and ingredients – a crucial benefit during peak times when guests order drinks simultaneously.
- Storage. Whether under the bar in cabinets or well-designed spaces near the work stations, the EuroBar’s storage keeps everything at arm’s length so mixologists can work efficiently. It also keeps all the clutter of the bar out of sight of customers, for a visually appealing experience.
Operational Advantages
Designed with the mixologist in mind, the EuroBar’s layout allows for easy access to all the tools and ingredients while also making it easy to engage with guests. “We’ve been able to see a definite advantage with the EuroBar in how it streamlined workflow,” Knickerbocker says. “This improved efficiency translates into a more productive staff, reduced wait times, and satisfied customers.”
